Meet RSMM's trophy, Sohini Singha Mojumdar from Kolkata, India. Sohini is an upcoming and a newly budded Indian Sub-Continental/Hindustani Classical Singer.
Having learnt Indian Sub-Continental/Hindustani Classical Music from a tender age of four, she is well adept in performing the other Indian Sub-Continental/Hindustani Classical Vocal genres such as Thumri, Ghazal, Bhajan, Geet etc with ease.
Her gurus and teachers have been enlisted in her short description at the homepage, in addition, she was initiated into the Indian Sub-Continental/Hindustani Classical Music by her maternal grandfather, the late Rabindranath Chattaraj.
On the academical side of Sohini, she holds a BA(Hons) in English with simultaneously an MBA in Human Resource Management. Furthermore, she has achieved a MA(Hons) in Indian Sub-Continental/Hindustani Classical Vocal.
She has won many accolades, to name a few, "Khazana Artiste Aloud Ghazal Talent Hunt" in 2019 and "SAMMAN" in 2020, amongst many others. Even today, she continues to polish her art, which has landed her a lofty 'A grade' level of singership at the All India Radio since 2011.
Sohini, currently, continues to keep her Indian Sub-Continental/Hindustani Classical Vocal excercises regular. In addition, she has many next generation of students, to whom she imparts Indian Sub-Continental/Hindustani Classical Music with credibility.
